Dementia: Does Mindfulness help?

A mixed methods longitudinal study is currently underway studying the impact of mindfulness in persons with mild cognitive impairment. The protocol for the mixed-methods study was published in 2016 and aims to quantitatively investigate whether mindfulness can improve the cognitive function, psychological health, mindfulness and functional abilities in activities of daily living of the participants living with mild cognitive impairment over time. (1) If so, it will give us an important and cost effective intervention for one of the most common issues in aging.
