Yoga improves QOL after CABG

The addition of an integrated yoga program to conventional post-CABG rehabilitation leads to improvement in quality of life after coronary artery bypass surgery. The Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research looked at 300 patients, half of whom were randomised to a cardiac rehabilitation program which included yoga. After 12 months, the group who included yoga in their cardiac rehabilitation showed improvements in physical health, mental health, social relationships and environmental health.
